  Research Interests

My current area of research is Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR). CBIR deals with searching for digital images in large collections of images or on the Internet. "Content Based" means that the search makes use of the content of the images themselves, rather than relying on human-inputted metadata such as captions or keywords.

For an overview presentation of CBIR and my research

I recently presented some of my current research at the IEEE Southeast Regional Conference.
