 BARBARA DONN
 

 

Barbara Donn is a professor of accounting, who has taught at St. Thomas Aquinas College for many years.  She earned a B.S. in biology from City College of New York, an M.B.A. in accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University, and is a C.P.A., licensed in New York.  She has professional experience, having worked for several C.P.A. firms, both large and small.  Her main focus was to audit small to medium corporations and towns and school boards.

Professor Donn concentrates her teaching in several areas:  principles of accounting, intermediate accounting, and cost accounting.  In addition, she teaches a pre-calculus course with business applications.  She works with students who want to prepare for the C.P.A. exam and who seek part-time and full-time employment.  She also has ties to the local chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs and encourages students to network with professional members of the society.

Professor Donn has varied research interests.  She has presented papers on the glass ceiling for women in business, the preparation of a course in forsensic accounting, and an analysis of the Enron scandal.
